Anniversary of Delta County 1883-1958—Teenagers

The ambitions of youth change with the times. Today teenaged boys look forward to driving cars of their own.

In the early days of Delta County, a popular saying was “The ambition of the young men is to have a $50 saddle on a $15 horse,” according to Mrs. Albert Stolte.

“Girls yearn to catch a beau who has a horse and buggy so they can go riding in style,” further recalled Mrs. Stolte.
