Anniversary of Delta County 1883-1958—Did You Know

Records from old cash books held in the Cedaredge Post office indicate a post office named “Welcome”, was at the end of Rogers Mesa and existed between 1910-1912.  George Eavenson is listed as the postmaster.

 

No white man is believed to have seen the North Fork Valley area before the year 1765, Juan de Rivera, a Spanish explore entered the area while he was on a trading expedition in that year.
